From your very first visit to our practice, we can assist you with the most important aspects of the therapy you need, offering continuous advice and support as well as individual programmes for you to follow at home. The following pages outline key information on our practice and therapies.

Your first appointment: what should you bring?

 

Relevant reports

 

Babies and Toddlers:

 

You would anyway bring bottles and nappies but it can also help to bring a familiar, favourite toy.

 

Pre-School Children:

 

Please bring snack and drink and loose clothing as child will be observed moving and carrying out various motor tasks.

 

School Age Children:

 

Please bring loose waisted shorts and T shirt to change into (or wear vest) as usually we need to look closely at standing posture and assess range of movement as part of initial assessment.

 

If your child is being assessed for help with writing please bring recent sample of creative writing.

 

Adolescents:

 

Loose clothing to exercise in

 

 

Cost of treatment:

Fees are subject to work required but broadly equate to £55 per hour.

 

1:1 Assessment:

 

Developmental delay babies and Infants  : £ 95 

Motor / Postural Issues associated with Hypermobility: £85 

Motor Output Issues associated with developmental postural and coordination delays / dysfunctions:                                                £ 150

Motor Output Issues associated with sensory processing and developmental postural / coordination delays / dysfunctions:               £180

 

Handwriting: £ 90

 

Treatment Fees (50 to 60 minute session) :

 

£70 clinic visit 

£70 to £90 for home visit 

 

Discounted Treatments:

 

We do offer discounts in certain cases, particularly to babies and children with cerebral palsy.  

 

Reports:

 

Official reports and letters are charged at £65 per hour

 

Private Medical Insurance:

 

Sally is registered with BUPA and AXA PPP. We require an authorisation number in order to invoice Medical Insurance Company. Please note without the authorisation number you are responsible for paying physiotherapy fees.

 

 

Treatment Times:

 

We prioritise after school sessions for children aged 8 +

 

We find pre and school age children < 6 years are best seen within school hours.

 

We have more flexibility in school holidays than in the term but we will accomodate appointment times to fit in with your schedule if we can!
